nLIGHT Launches Pearl™ Product Series Optimized for Low-Power Materials Processing
Vancouver, WA USA January 21, 2009
Industrial diode lasers optimized to reduce cost and size for plastic welding and soldering applications
nLIGHT Corporation (nLIGHT) announced today the introduction of Pearl™ fiber-coupled diode laser products specifically designed for industrial applications such as plastic welding and soldering that require bright power in a small, rugged package.
nLIGHT’s Pearl™ fiber-coupled diode laser series with nXLT™ single emitter diodes has redefined industry benchmarks for reliability and efficiency. Pearl™ comes standard with a two year warranty and can be configured for a four year warranty.
Configurations are available at 915, 940 and 980 nanometer (nm) wavelengths with up to 100 watts (W) power from 200 to 800 micron (µm) PowerCore™ fiber. An optional pilot beam is also available.
“Industry-leading efficiency of greater than 50 percent significantly reduces system cooling requirements, minimizes costs, and increases reliability,” stated Joe DeBartolo, nLIGHT VP Sales and Marketing. “Pearl™ enables energy efficient laser systems with lower cost of ownership.”
nXLT™ diode technology enables long lifetime even with harsh industrial conditions and repeated on/off cycles. PowerCore™ fiber provides consistent beam quality and power transmission independent of fiber layout and movement.
nLIGHT will be highlighting the Pearl™ materials processing diode laser series at Photonics West in San Jose, CA on January 27 - 29 at booth #1843.
