nLIGHT to Moderate and Present at FABTECH 2017 Educational Session

nLIGHT, Inc., a leader in diode and fiber lasers for industrial applications, will moderate a key educational session on Monday, November 6 at FABTECH 2017 from 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. In this session, Fiber Laser Cutting and Joining: Recent Advances in Technology, Tools and Applications, five industry experts will showcase advances in fiber laser technology, process heads and sensors, robotics and innovative fiber laser applications.

This information-packed educational session will start with an overview of the latest advances in fiber laser technology. Dahv Kliner, Ph.D., Vice President of Fiber Laser Technology for nLIGHT, will highlight the performance improvements seen in today’s newest products. nLIGHT Senior Laser Application Engineer Brian Victor will take participants through a journey of some the latest and most advanced uses of fiber laser technology.

Innovations in cutting and welding heads will be showcased by guest speakers Tom Kugler from Laser Mechanisms and Robert Borgstrom from Precitec, Inc., respectively. Attendees will also hear from Tim Morris of Blackbird Robotics about how galvo-based scanners can facilitate remote welding in a variety of industrial applications.

Session participants will find out firsthand how the continuing advancement of fiber laser technology is ushering in an era marked by improved cutting speeds, sharper edge quality and a growing number of breakthrough applications.
