nLIGHT Announces Appointment of Jason Farmer as Chief Technology Officer

nLIGHT, a leading manufacturer of high-power semiconductor lasers, announced today that it has named Jason Farmer to the position of Chief Technology Officer. The changes reflect nLIGHT’s continued evolution to address new growth markets.
Jason Farmer, a co-founder of nLIGHT, has over 10 years of experience in the photonics industry and holds over ten patents in various areas of semiconductor laser technology. At nLIGHT, he has played an important role in defining nLight’s technical vision and developing a strategy to achieve that vision.

Prior to co-founding nLIGHT, Jason Farmer developed key solid-state laser technology at Aculight Corporation. Jason Farmer holds an M.S. from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
