nLIGHT Achieves ISO 9001:2000 Certification

nLIGHT Corporation, a leading manufacturer of high-power semiconductor lasers announced today that it has achieved the UL Registration to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2000 Quality Management System Standard for the design and manufacture of semiconductor lasers, laser subsystems and other photonics devices.
Underwriter Laboratories awarded a certificate of registration recognizing that the quality management system implemented by nLIGHT is in accordance with the requirements of the ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System Standard.

ISO 9001 is an internationally recognized quality management system developed by the International Organization for Standardization. ISO 9001, the most comprehensive standard in the ISO 9000 series, provides a model for quality of design and development of a product, including production, installation and servicing.
Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL), an independent, not-for-profit product-safety testing and certification organization conducted the ISO 9001:2000 audit. Founded in 1894, UL is internationally recognized as the leader in product-safety testing and quality assurance certification within the United States.
