Vancouver, WA January 20, 2006 – nLIGHT, a leading manufacturer of high-power semiconductor lasers, announced today that Jake Bell has been promoted to Vice President of nLIGHT’s newly created Defense business group.
Jake Bell joined nLIGHT in June 2005 and was responsible for all sales and marketing programs in North America. Jake Bell is now responsible for general management of all defense related programs and products.

Jake Bell joined nLIGHT from Agilent Technologies where he held several sales and marketing management positions with a special focus on driving sales growth, improving market intelligence, and building sales and marketing infrastructure. Previously, Jake Bell directed Hewlett Packard's IC strategic marketing organization and led several ASIC R&D teams for consumer and networking applications. Jake Bell holds an M.B.A. from Colorado State University, as well as Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in electrical engineering from Washington State University.
