Mechanical Technician

Job Summary

  • Work under the direction of the engineering team to build and test prototype systems, tooling stations, fixtures and equipment
  • Perform repairs on the above as needed
  • Oversee the procurement, receipt, and organization of engineering and prototype parts
  • Execute verification test protocols that include environmental and accelerated life testing
  • Debug electrical and mechanical systems

 Qualifications

  • Experience interpreting wiring diagrams and plumbing schematics
  • Experience assembling opto-electro-mechanical assemblies
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX is preferred
  • Use of Excel and other MS Office software is required
  • Candidate shall be highly organized and detail-oriented with clear and professional written and oral communication skills
  • The most qualified candidates will have:
    • An eagerness to learn and a strong mechanical aptitude
    • Demonstrated ability using SolidWorks for building complex assemblies to align with 3D design files
