nLIGHT is seeking a Quality Technician to join our quality team located in Hillsboro, Oregon. 


  • Perform Incoming QA inspections 50% of time, with goal of reducing to 25% of time
  • Analyze supplier data
  • Provide feedback to suppliers, work corrective action plans with suppliers
  • Maintain inspection records
  • Prepare customer Certificates of Conformance
  • Manage aspects of the non-conforming material (NCM) process – disposition, transactions, reporting
  • Provide feedback to manufacturing, engineering
  • Complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR)
  • Perform process audits per documented requirements (verification that employees are following documented instructions and have been certified for the operation)
  • Identify non-conformance to the Quality Management system and area for improvement
  • Participate in process improvement and problem-solving teams
  • Support supplier development activities
  • Support EHS tasks and improvement activities


  • Technical Certification or Associates Degree in a technology discipline
  • 2+ years recent Inspection experience, IPC 610 certification is strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of GD&T
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience using inspection gauging and tools: Calipers, Micrometers, Plug Gauges, Optical Comparator, CMM
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 requirements
  • ASQ certification is desirable
  • Minitab experience desirable
