ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Inspection
    • Perform process audits per documented requirements (verification that employees are following documented instructions and have been certified for the operation)
    • Perform product in-line inspection per documented requirements (verification that product has been built to the required standards)
    • Support incoming inspection requirements per documented requirements (back-up to IQA)
    • Manage inspection documentation, inspection records and audit reports
    • Manage aspects of the non-conforming material (NCM) process – disposition, transactions, reporting
    • Analyze supplier data
    • Complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR)
    • Provide feedback to suppliers and ensure suppliers complete corrective action requests promptly
    • Communicate with Production, Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management about non-conformances
  • Quality Management System (QMS)
    • Participate in internal audits
    • Identify non-conformance to the QMS and areas for improvement
  • Continual Improvement
    • Participate in process improvement and problem solving teams
    • Support Supplier development activities
    • Develop Quality Standards

Education:

  • Technical Certification/Associate Degree
  • ASQ Certification preferred

Required Skills: 

  • Basic Microsoft Office computer skills
  • Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) knowledge
  • Competence with standard inspection tools: micrometer, calipers, drop gauge, Go-No Go gage, microscope, Optical comparator, etc.

Preferred EXPERIENCE: 

  • Manufacturing in a high technology Industry
  • IPC 610A certification
  • Familiar with the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard
  • Working knowledge of Minitab
