Senior-level supply chain planning professional.  For assigned product lines / products, this role creates and manages supply plans & production schedules to support S&OP objectives, inventory goals, and customer order fulfillment requirements.   As the Planning focal-point for Operations, this role will coordinate actions to support resolution of issues related to supply / demand matching, materials support, and production priorities.

The ideal candidate will have experience and a proven track record in a similar role supporting a challenging, high velocity/rate-of-change environment.  A strong drive for success, high individual accountability, and excellent interpersonal skills, will be key contributions to success.

Primary Functions:

  • Individual contributor role.
  • In partnership with Sales, Finance & Operations teams, and business management leaders:
    • Analysis, operations planning strategies, and supply plan formulation; ensuring Operations and business issues are collaboratively analyzed to make the best collective decisions.
    • Develop new product introduction (NPI) supply positioning plans, considering demand inputs, supply objectives, and constraints, to meet business objectives and manage risks.
    • Contribute to business Sale & Operations Planning process improvements.
  • Production scheduling in direct support of customer demand priority and inventory management goals.
  • Develop, coordinate and execute shipping schedules to ensure on-time delivery per customer request dates and nLight commitments.
  • Develop inventory planning strategy for key components as well as monitor, and make visible, capacity constraints.
  • Direct production schedules through effective work order management and manage plan inputs to our MRP system.
  • Work closely with Supply Chain and Manufacturing teams to ensure clear understanding of plans and issues, as they arise, to minimize adverse impacts.
  • Maintain an effective supply chain, and act as the first level of escalation when a potential supply disruption is identified.

Required Qualifications:

  • Recent and relevant experience with supply chain, scheduling and S&OP processes.
  • BA/BS Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Detail oriented; excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated competence in addressing and resolving complex supply chain issues.
  • Competence with an ERP/MRP systems, advanced analysis & modeling skills utilizing MS Excel.
  • Customer oriented, strong sense of urgency, and a bias for action.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Competence with Microsoft Dynamics AX
  • APICS certifications
  • LEAN Training/certifications
