ERP Analyst

Summary

Work with finance, engineering, manufacturing departments, and external service providers on manufacturing processes, applications deployed for tracking, and data evaluation.  Analyze product design changes in order to determine potential effects on end product design/function. Identify systematic solutions and prepare documentation necessary to facilitate change.  This position will report to the Director of Information Technology.  The successful candidate will be comfortable and qualified to operate with minimal supervision and make independent decisions.

Functions

  • Monitor, analyze and adjust ERP operations, respond to user data queries, and contribute to the technical design and optimization of the ERP.
  • Provide day-to-day ERP support, including evaluation of engineering and development process change orders and identification/incorporation of required ERP changes in accordance with configuration management procedures and policies.
  • Perform requirements gathering, feasibility analysis, design and configuration, system documentation, test procedure development and execution, technical training, and process integration activities in coordination with the Information Services Department.
  • Develop, install, and maintain applications/reports to acquire and convert data into business intelligence, including compilation of statistics, business metrics, and process analysis.
  • Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and users to determine change reporting methodologies.
  • Leverage outsource business partners and oversees associated engineering development activities.
  • Ensure the development, implementation, and delivery of application training conforms to SOPs.
  • Serve as liaison between the ERP user community and the Information Services Department.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5+ years direct experience managing a mainstream ERP in an administrative or analyst role.
  • Direct experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX ERP preferred.
  • Ability to write SQL queries to extract and manipulate data from mainstream, enterprise databases.  MS SQL Server or Oracle database experience.
  • Familiarity with reporting tools such as SQL Server Reporting and MOSS Reporting Services.
  • Direct experience implementing and maintaining ISO and SOX standards.
  • Strong written communication skills, including ability to document requirements and systems in a clear and concise manner.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing practices.
