Sustaining Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary

  • Work within a multidisciplinary team to support existing products with design and process improvements.
  • Devise, design and build robust fixturing and process equipment suitable for reliable, high volume manufacturing.
  • Analyze and respond to vendor requests for manufacturability improvements and drawing updates.
  • Execute verification test protocols that include environmental and accelerated life testing.
  • Oversee the procurement of engineering and prototype parts.
  • Generate and disseminate lessons learned for new product development

 Qualifications

  • Minimum of BS degree in mechanical engineering
  • Experience with Solidworks, creation of engineering drawings, understanding of mechanical tolerances & GD&T
  • Candidate shall be highly organized and detail-oriented with clear and professional written and oral communication skills
  • Good understanding of the principles of heat transfer, thermal modeling, stress/strain behavior, materials selection and standard machining and sheet metal process
  • Successful candidates will demonstrate an eagerness to learn and a strong mechanical aptitude
